The technological instruments of modern architecture (mechanical and electrical services, high-performance fabric and glazing systems) have separated us from the world outside. Internalisation and sealing the body from the elements (climate/ seasons/ time of day) is both environmentally and experientially costly. As a challenge to architectural thinking and practice, the installation liberates the tools of separation by bringing artificial weather into the building.

By introducing a <register> (scent) into the system**(think Iodine-containing contrast mediums- ICCMs), the installation exposes how the ventilation works by using an olfactory input to make the invisible experience of air change perceptible.
